Some Truth About Thinking Positive

The Pre Meeting Mindset

Before you ever talk to a prospect, there’s one meeting you must have first:

The one in your own head.

Mindset sets the tone for every sales interaction. If you take the time to mentally prepare like a professional, you can’t help but to show up confidently and ready to lead a conversation.

Thinking positively is how we get there and no, not the woo- woo style either. The kind that drives from your subconscious.

Convince Your Subconscious Mind

Real belief—the kind that fuels action—starts below the surface.

It’s not just repeating empty affirmations. It’s tapping into your identity.

Ask yourself:

“What do I believe about myself when no one’s watching?”

That’s what your subconscious mind is listening for. And that’s the version of you that gets results

Put It in Writing

The human brain believes more in what it sees in writing than what it hears in the subconscious mind.

So write it all down:

  • Describe your long-term goal(s) as vividly as you can.

  • Write each of your goals in the present tense as if they’re already true.

  • Describe how the important aspects of your life, work, and results will be once you’re successful.

Repetition is your friend. Write and rewrite and review your goals until they feel real.

Write an Action Plan

Big goals are great. But they’re just dreams unless you diagram how you’ll get there.

So:

  1. List the traits you admire in your role models.

  2. Memorize the list. Live into it.

  3. Write out a scene: YOU performing like the pro you aspire to become.

Don’t make this a vague journal entry. Think of it as a short-term goal you can hit.

Start there.

As I’m sure you know by now, you can’t think your way to success. You have to plan and ACT.

Time Is a Mind Trick

The subconscious mind doesn’t understand time the way you do. To it, everything is happening right now - in the present moment.

This is why it’s important to not imagine goals too far off in the distance.

Visualize them happening NOW. Today.

Even if it’s a goal you’ve set for 12-months from now, feel it as if it’s real, present, and active.
That “now energy” can drive you to action in the real-world  to align with the vision.

Focus on Action, Not Outcome

We all want results. But results are often out of our hands.

What can you control?

Only one thing: → The actions that create results.

Professional focused on completing tasks and working with intention.

Instead of saying “I want to close 5 deals,” say:

“I make 20 quality outreach attempts daily. I follow up with precision. I stay focused, curious and direct while handling discovery.”

Once you’re doing what you’re supposed to be doing, your subconscious mind will trust the process—and will naturally reject unrealistic expectations.

Faking It Till You Make It Can Actually Work

Confidence might be evasive at first.
That’s okay.

The trick?

Imagine you’re confident… and act that way

  • Walk how you’d walk.

  • Talk how you’d talk.

  • Handle objections like the winning version of yourself.

Eventually, your brain will catch up. Confidence will follow the pattern set by your subconscious mind.

Each time you act “as if,” your subconscious mind lays down new pathways.
It learns:

“This is who I am now.”

Final Takeaway

You can’t become a pro just by reading. Ideas are cheap.

You become a pro by doing. Implementation is the difference maker:

  • Think right.

  • Speak like it’s already true.

  • Act like the person you’re becoming.

And when you do DAILY, without exception?

That’s when things really start to change.
