WELCOME TO THE TEAM!!

Super excited to have you on board and for our work together to achieve your goals!

Here’s to our success together!  🍾🍾🍾

Start Here:

We’re super pumped to help you grow and scale your company.

This guide contains ALL the information you need to be successful in our work together, so make sure you read ALL of it.

Don’t skip ANYTHING

I’ve coached hundreds of startups and sales teams over the last few years, and by now I know exactly what it takes for teams to be successful, so if you follow this guide to the letter you’re almost guaranteed success. 😉

There are three pillars in our program that you must execute on to get results:

Communication:

You must communicate with us on a weekly basis (more about how later in the guide), the more we know about your work, the more we can help, and the more successful you’ll be.

And the more you tell us about what you’re doing on a regular basis, then the less time we have to spend playing catch up when we connect to talk about sales, management ideas and strategies.

Action:

Every time we recommend a strategy, you MUST take action quickly.

Action means applying the strategy.

When you apply strategies, there are two possible outcomes:

You’re going to win, or you’re going to learn.

If you win, then you can double down and keep applying to get even more results.

If you learn, then we can quickly iterate and find you a new strategy.

But the only way you’ll know is by taking action quickly and applying.

The quicker you are to take action the faster we’ll know if you have to change something, and the faster you’ll get results.

Commitment

You and your team must commit to fully participate in our program.

You must commit to ask for help every time you need it. You must commit to help others in the group. You must commit to apply the strategies we recommend.

You must commit to communicate.

How Do you get help?

Here are the 4 ways for you to get help every time you’re feeling stuck or have a sales/management question, they’re in order, and you should follow the order until you find the answer to your question:

1. Slack:

Use the public channel if what you’re sharing doesn’t contain sensitive information, otherwise post in your team channel {team_ companyname} if it’s urgent, send me a private message (slack handle: @stephen) I’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

2. Coaching Calls: 🗣

Here you will talk to me live, and I’ll be able to give you specific live help and answer your question(s).

Now, before hopping on a call you have to prepare by filling out a “Get Sales Help” form, which you will receive both on Slack the day before the call.

The reason for you to fill out a Get Sales Help form is that you will give us more time to prepare for your questions, and you will get an even better answer. Please be as detailed as possible when you fill out a form.

 3. Email Support:

If either of the above methods don’t suit your fancy, feel free to email me. s@stephensteers.com - I check my email a few times a day, but may be slower to respond than slack, so keep that in mind.

4. 1:1’s as needed

If you need additional support outside of Office Hours, i.e. you have a big meeting coming up and need to make sure you nail it, you’re not sure what to do next in a sale etc,  you can book in a 20 min call to go over exactly what YOU need without interruption.

Your Week

Every Monday Morning:

You MUST submit the “Weekly Priority Form.”

This is the MOST IMPORTANT activity you need to do every week because it’ll force you to focus and identify the project that’ll bring the most leverage to your company.

Think: If I could work on ONE project this week, which one would it be?

When you fill out this form, it gets reposted to the public Slack channel, and we get informed about the your priority for the week.

We’ll add some comments with ideas and resources to your submission so that you can start the week with the right foot.

Every Friday:

At the end of every week you’ll either have wins or learnings.

And you must share them via the Wins & Learnings form.

This will get you to sit down, take stock of the things you did during the week, and identify where you were successful and where you need to change.

This is an opportunity to celebrate and share your Wins and Your Learnings with your fellow members of the Sales Fuel Community, and with your own team. And it’s also a time to start thinking about the week ahead.

Daily Activities

Run a daily standup with your team, or with yourself.

How to run a daily standup:

At the beginning of the day, identify your top three most important tasks for the day and the outcome you want from those tasks. (Think, if today I could only do three things, what would they be?)

Suggestion: Open a Slack channel called; #dailystandup, and have everyone on your team post their top three priorities for the day and the outcome they expect.

Weekly Activities

Monday: Fill out weekly priority form - This is the first thing you MUST do at the beginning of the week it will help you focus your efforts and identify your most important project. Once you’ve identified your project, then you need to schedule uninterrupted time to work on it.

Tuesday: Office Hours @10:00 am EST- fill out form if you’re feeling stuck or need help with your sales work.  (invite to go out)

Thursday: Office Hours @3:00 pm EST - fill out form if you’re feeling stuck or need help with your sales work. (invite to go out)

Friday: Fill out the wins & learnings form, and share it with your team.

90-Days

Create 90-Day Sales Project for yourself and have each person on your team your team to create their own 90-day project.

We’ll have a Calibration call at the midpoint of our work. To go over everything we’re working on and to fine tune.

What to do when stuck?

If at any point you get lost, or are not sure about what to do,  FOLLOW the guide.
